What is it about…

The main idea of the event is Skiing. Skiing from dusk to down…oops …that was for the pubs. Skiing will be from early morning till late in the evening. We have reserved for the purpose the slopes of the Pirin Mountain, situated near the charming city of Bansko.

Bansko is one of the Bulgarian best ski resorts and is famous not only with the ski runs. It has a peculiar atmosphere with its old houses build entirely of wood and stone, surrounded by high walls and connected with each other by cobbled streets. All this posed in the middle of the mysterious beauty of Pirin . The slavian god of storms and thunders-Perun is the godfather of the mountain, witch is in the United Nations Organization's list of national parks and reserves and in the UNESCO's list of the world cultural and natural heritage.

In the so called "Mehana"s you

may try the tasty Bulgarian cuisine and of

coarse the homemade Bulgarian wine. The

minutes of pleasure with "Kamenitza"

beer are also guaranteed by the fact that

this is the city with the greatest number of

pubs per capita in the town.

A tradition preserved in Bulgaria

from heretic times to nowadays is the

wearing of red-white string - "Martenitza" from the 1st of March till the first spring blossom. It is a custom for health and luck and a reason to

make a celebration. So, bring red and white clouts and prepare a big smile for the "Martenitza karnaval".
